I’ve had one xray of the lumbar area, one mri of the same area, there’s no pain in the muscles surrounding (other than a bit achey where I’m having to sit in odd positions to take pressure off spine) and I’ve not had any heat or swelling in those areas at any point, even when I first had back pain which I’ve now worked out was over a year ago. Its a sharp pain directly on spine in the thoracic area with neurological symptoms as well. Shooting pains down legs and arms, I’m unable to use my hands properly at the moment, been dropping things for months as my fine motor skills have gone to pot. Random numb spots on arms legs and feet that come and go, pins and needles and a prickling feeling. A new one yesterday was feeling like the underneath of my arm was burning and my bladder isn’t emptying properly. When these things were milder I just assumed EDS but it’s now glaringly obvious that it’s not.
I’ve torn a muscle in my shoulder before after a dislocation and i agree very painful for a long time but its still nothing compared to this.
I’m still not at a point of being able to function normally or even half normal despite the amount of painkillers I’m taking because the pain still isn’t under control and the neurological symptoms are making it impossible. This is the person that carries on mucking out with a subluxed shoulder with the aim that it’s gonna pop back in at some point 😂
I totally appreciate the fact that you do this for a living but I know my body. I’ve lived in pain with constant damage to ligaments/tendons/joints over the years and this is another level entirely.
