I’ve worn glasses since I was 10. Now I’m in my 40s I have varifocals. Presumably at some point you might need reading glasses anyway? Varifocal glasses would mean you don’t have to swap glasses at least.
My Dad has had one eye done for cateract and now he can drive at night again. He’s happy enough with it. He said he will have the other done when it gets worse.
Can you ask your GP for a referral instead of your opticians?
