I have really bad Raynaud’s disease and due to the cold snap my hands are really starting to hurt ALOT plus I cannot turn up my heating because bills are just too high at moment making things even worse for me. I was thinking about buying a pair of silver Raynauds gloves but I was hoping to get people opinion as they are quite expensive at £29.99 and make a lot of bold claims. I’m a little bit apprehensive because I am struggling to pay my bills at the moment so I do not want to splash out on something that does not work. Are these gloves really made from silver and most importantly will they keep my hands warm even when an episode strikes? Would be great if some who has a pair of these gloves can tell me more or if someone has any other suggestions for me? Thank you guys!

I have taken a quick look on Google and know exactly which gloves you are looking at. All I would say is that you should stay well clear of any site trying to sell “silver gloves” online. These gloves are a con and are not made from silver. Silver is considered a precious metal and so is very expensive and wont be found in a pair of gloves costing £29.99. The fact that they are willing to lie about what the gloves are made from should make you question all of their other claims about the gloves. In my opinion they look like any other cheap cotton gloves with pieces of thin tin foil sewn into them. You would be better off just buying a pair of cotton gloves for £2 rather than these gloves as they will not provide extra level of insulation to your hands.

For Raynaud’s disease the most effective gloves that will help prevent and treat episodes are ones that provide compression. Compression helps boost the circulation in your hands and fingers and keeps blood flowing to them…this means that when you are struck by an episode blood flow is not cut off as much to your extremities lessening the affects of the episode as a result.

      I hope this helps 🙂

IMO they are cheap made in china rubbish and a total rip off. You are far better off buying a decent pair of thermal gloves and like peter said above some compression gloves to go underneath them.

Its is appalling that these bad actor websites are allowed to keep running. They are essentially scamming vulnerable people during a cost of living crisis who are suffering with their Raynaud’s disease when energy bills are so expensive and they are are struggling to keep warm this winter.

As the others have stated these gloves will simply not work. Even if you did not have Raynaud’s disease they would not keep your hands warm they look really thin and will not give very good insulation. For £29.99 you can buy some pretty advanced thermal gloves.. in fact you probably could buy some heated gloves for that price which would really keep your hands nice and toasty.
